Ok thats what in boot.ini, what should remove from it.Code:[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
the second line in the Operating Systems section.
Quote:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect
or actually, prolly delete the first line..cuz I dunno what all that extra switches is. :P
nm, no readie the lines properly, oopsy. :unsure:
The extra switches are nothing. It's basically added on SP2 and doesn't really do anything. Here, I'll give you a safer way to delete them (with detailed instructions).
1. Press Start
2. Press Run
3. Type in the input box msconfig
4. A new screen will pop up. Go to the tab entitled boot.ini
5. This is where you can add, delete and modify switches.
6. Delete one of the two lines by highlighting on one of them and selecting DELETE.
I hope you guys don't make fun of me because I put butt.ini :)
There is no Option for deleting it in Msconfig
that doesn't work...there is no delete option in msconfig. :PQuote:
