Guess it depends on the quality of the camera. In terms of megalixles.
but old school cameras dont have pixels.
i want to try an experiment now, would a scanner kill photo negatives?
Thats a good question. I dont think it will. Just try it on one first.Quote:

I think negatives can handle being scanned.
once i scan it i gotta work out if it can be colourised, i think i know how to do black and white
That's easy, you just need photoshop or something, all the colours are there, but reversed*, if it's a colour photo.
*I mean inverted, do'h
So just invert them
i suppose its dull light that makes it look all blue then
i'm gonna try a developed photo as well. one inch on the scanner almost fills the screen on teh monitor in DPI terms
Some scanners do seem to add some blue tho', try playing around with the curves and the saturation, if you have photoshop.
Sounds like a good scanner wrt the dpi, what model & make is it?
ignore the blue thing, i went crazy
It happens.
not going well, i have a strange feeling this is black and white film
You cant get color out of inverting a b&w scan (even if the original is color).Quote:

thats after inverting and brightness/contrast adjustments. other negatives just scan too dark to play with, would backing it with a mirror do anything?
edit: unknown negative - scanned in colour - played with in photoshop
have a look at the link i gave you, it might help.
ok, round two with some help then
Anyone else notice this?
Compare the original to this:
1,000 dpi or approx. 1300x875 pixelsQuote:
