ummmmm the obsession the newspapers in the UK have with BB, makes them c list celebs. Like Wags.

This all started by me making a Posh joke (as well as taking a poke at being an ignorant American) I know the difference between real celebs and C list ones. The thing is, we dont have anything like that here. Survivor came close but even that fizzled out after a few years.

I understand the tabloids there. It's all crap. We have em too. But the C list celebrity status isn't the same here. Also, Big Brother in the UK actually makes news on TV and in some respected papers. You can't deny it. I am not putting the country down, I think I may have been extremely unclear.

We don't have wags or anything to compare it to. So trying to explain it to an everyday American who knows nothing at all about the UK is difficult is all.

what ive noticed is anyone with enough money or a wealthy enough husband or agent can get you into big brother. big brother is owned or controlled by a company (endemol) not the public or the viewers, the viewers have little control over what goes on, but are fooled into voting.

Just the UK, the US one sucks really bad. This years UK was bad, I feel like I missed it this year. I've never seen the Aussie one. I heard Dermot or Davina mention that they don't boo in Oz.

Of the US and UK versions, I prefer the UK one so much more.

After the US is done, it may be mentioned in a little article in one mag each, but nothing at all like the coverage the UK gets.

Yeah, that must be it. Couldn't possibly be that I am aware of what is out in the world. Shops and supermarkets are known for hiding their tabloid magazine selection.
