The loki torrents debacle which was a site collecting money($30,000) supposedly to fight the MPAA because they had gotten a shutdown notice and then after collecting all the cash just shutting down without putting up any kind of fight but keeping the money.

Yep, this was a really punch in the stomach for the bittorrent community... So many people donated money, hoping that a big trial will stop the MPAA and Webber (LokiTorrent.com onwer) just took of with the money... I think many people realized then, that donations do not always go where they are supposed to.

Shutting down Demonoid was a bigger shocker for me. I still hope Deimos will put the site up again.
