Btw anyone else frustrated that "giveaways" have basically become the domain of traders looking to add some quick rep by divesting themselves of invites they don't see any real value in?
I understand the reluctance of other people to do it here but if the invite section is just going to be that then might as just well do away with the "giveaways" entirely( not that that is necessarily a bad idea) or combine the invite and trade sections again and have done with it.

Also who the fuck wants to risk being invited by a known trader? I mean you might just as well trade yourself then because if the tracker staff purge your account with his then the outcome is the same anyway.

I always thought that the BT Rep was because someone thought that you did something nice for them. If they 'give' out invites and want a BT Rep in return, that's just greedy in my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong at this? Am I the only one who thinks like this?

I was always under the impression that giving someone an invite would be something nice... why wouldnt you rep them for that? and if not that then what kinds of things would u rep them for?

Giving an invite to a person this is a nice things to that Invitee and thats why the Invitee give a repu to the inviter.

Why use rep at all? Nobody in their right mind should ever need a reminder of the goodness of their inviting habits. Have you expected something in return every time someone got invited by you somewhere?

Rep is outdated, it doesn't tell you anything about the person (as it is used by traders and non-traders alike). Personally I never liked rep or want rep, if I did something nice for a person and that person got good use out of whatever it was (whether advice, a tracker or just needed someone to listen) then that was and is thanks enough for me. No number of points will ever define me or anyone else for that matter.....

I dislike the rep system and would generally not like to be given rep. If I give you an invite here, it's because I expect you'll use it well, not because I want a fancy little +1 to my e-peen. Exchanging invites for rep is no better than trading, it's just a more roundabout and wasteful method of doing so.

That is the very fine balance balance we face- do we wait and hope for a front-row seat, or do we push forward so we can be standing on their chest when we decide to make it happen NOW?

I have found that it is better to let nature take its course, but some people really do deserve it ASAP.
