hmmmm, I don't see an error.

Anyway, I don't think that matters now. As I believe my site is now free of adverts due to the script king yoshi told me. Can people tell me if the adverts really are gone and check that all picts link are working as in school today there was few errors but I think its coz there crappy macs and the schools firewall may have blocked parts.

Yeah, it&#39;s an amazing tip and makes my site seem professional now , and makes geocities actually quite good&#33;. There&#39;s no wai I would have a site with ads, wether it is free or not.

I really don&#39;t see the need for a redirecting site now ............

    thanks mate, I&#39;ll try that.

The site I&#39;m making really is just a bit of fun, a mini hobby so there&#39;s no way I would pay.
    If I don&#39;t even pay for singles I wouldn&#39;t buy a site&nbsp; .

So there&#39;s no script to stop the geocities ad-sqaure?
Tripod Lycos UK is the best. 50Mb and
you can remove ads - see here

To remove ads between </body> and </html> tags insert

    <noscript><noscript>
    <plaintext><plaintext>

Tripod offer PHP, MySQL, 50 Megs, FTP support.

If you do not like the http://members.lycos.co.uk/yoursitenamehere then get a .tk domain from http://www.dot.tk - it is 100% free with no ads
    Overnet Lite 0.53

Free hosting for P2P clients - PM me

If you get a Tripod site, your url looks like "yoursite.tripod.com".
And rather than wait for their forever-slow building tools, you can create your site on your computer, then FTP it to their site, using ftp.tripod.com. Simply setup your FTP client (I use WS_FTP.) Set &#39;Host Name&#39; to "ftp.tripod.com". Set &#39;User ID&#39; to use "yoursite". Set &#39;password&#39; to your Tripod site password. (Ignore the rest.)
    It&#39;s fast and hassle-free.

I&#39;m gonna have to look into this&#33;.

50mb webspace and no ads + .tk?. I love geocities but forgot one thing - data transfer, my site can&#39;t be seen as it&#39;s temporary unavailable .

    edit: yay, it&#39;s up again.

Why can&#39;t I sign up with lycos, got email from them to "confirm" now it says enter security code, 4 letters with a line blocking a number (to stop automated registrations) and it keeps saying I&#39;m entering it wrong, even though the code is obvious as the line moves after each attemp. any ideas why?
