IRC and SoulSeek are similar. IRC has much more advanced features for the channel/room operators. The ability to ban people, limit up/downloads, and most importantly, you can see the IP of people who are downloading from you. Security is a huge issue for us all, and we need to be safe.

Plus, with IRC, you have cool serving scripts where you can move people up/down in que, and automate certain tasks, like kicking Moseph from the room.

The ignore button is crap. Have you ever "ignored" a few people in a room, then try to have a conversation? Its fucking madness. We need to ban abusive members just like we do on this forum. Soulseek may serve our purpose, but I still predict a short life expectancy, as Klite is faced with now.

thats what I mean if everyone was smart enough and used the ignore button then their wouldnt be conversation problems becaseu everyone would have ignored the fuckwit
