You know it is funny that you always here that Baseball is really the American past-time, but if you really look into football in the US, fuck just look at the size of the college football stadiums right!!!, I mean they have a bigger spectator compacity then the NFL stadiums and they are usually sold out as well.....

If you really think about any major sport, and you look at how many people play at a amateur level vs how many really have a shot or really make it to the big leagues.....

And if you look at a lot of these small American towns/urban areas, really that is what the kids dream of, playing in the big leagues right....

By your reasoning, Rhode Island would be doing great -- as of yesterday, only 2,290 people have died there! Fantastic! Except that that is actually the fourth highest death rate of the fifty states since the start of the pandemic.

Back in the world, I was so angry. At myself, for not being shoulder to shoulder with our allies. And at a nation that had forgotten the mission it sent us on/talked the world into joining. So I ran like I never had before. Joined a racing club. 4am workouts, etc.

I broke down and finally watched the first episode of The Equalizer: The Queen Latifah Years.
One look at her in tight leather riding a motorcycle and I didn't need to look to see if she had a producing credit or not.:mellow:

So it's as bad as I imagined...

There's one point in the first episode where she has to run away from an explosion and it was even money if she'd die from the blast or a heart attack from the effort.

Episode 5: Tracks down slut who ex- cheated on her with. Destroys her credit report and calls in fake Domestic Violence report on woman. Keys her car.
Episode 6: Hairdresser complains about lazy bf who won't get a job. QL finds out he's already had his 2nd strike, threatens to accuse him of selling drugs if he doesn't find work.

I can see how this one got greenlighted.

You are correct about him labeling himself as a libertarian, but not really arguing as one. I have not come across him in some time, but always just saw his views as a disjointed mess of both Democrat and Republican. 75/25, but not in a moderate mix.

He is a Berni Sanders voter/supporter, not one of you seemed to mention that, is there a reason??:unsure:

I wrote this comment on another forum when someone posted the trailer for Batwoman, in which the titular heroine reminded us she was female approximately every 500 nanoseconds.



This could actually be decent without all GIRL POWAH stuff going on... make no mistake, I'm all for equality, inclusion and respect, and it's good that some effort at all is being made towards that. However, the vibe I get from this trailer in particular (and other movies and TV shows in general) is less "anyone can be a hero" and more "we put a woman as the main character because we're so progressive, and we will let you know; oh, and she's a lesbian, too". To quote an analogy, it's as respectful as the Ku Klux Klan appointing a few token blacks as members...


But maybe this is a "go all the way to the other extreme and things will even out eventually" situation, I don't know.
