On a point of nonproductive language, referring to the media as a "mob" while ironically using that particular word only because you were force feed it by an agent of the (right-wing) media is both divisive and hypocritical.
Mobs exist on social media, not on actual professional news. Speaking with a single voice on an issue doesn't make you a "mob" unless every administration, every police force and every army is then also a "mob" .

For the Left-media, insofar as it constitutes the numeric bulk of the larger media, it is suitable as well.

I don't know, Idol, what sources you consume, but in America, we have OAN, Newsmax, and to a lesser extent, Fox News; the rest of TV media is OWNED by the Left.

The Right owns talk radio, true story, so I guess if you want to describe that as a "mob", it's okay with me.

Plenty of right wing media. The leading newspaper The Globe and Mail is quite right wing. The only problem I have with media of either stripe is when they distort facts or surreptitiously lead instead of simply report. Opinions should be left to clearly marked opinion sections so that people don't conflate reality and supposition. That btw is why OAN, NewsMax and Fox got hit with the recent lawsuits. They had people on speaking opinion without anyone giving the other, in this case true, side and had to clean it up with an after the fact "Gee. We don't necessarily agree what those people we constantly have on are saying is true".
Christ. The CEO of OAN or NewMax even said that he knows much of what they air is bs but those views have an audience from which they can hugely profit so, whatever.

I will give you that certain left wing media regularly sensationalize, sometimes fear monger and aren't above selectively reporting but the vast majority of them still hold onto the principle of not lying.

Just to make a note for this Tread........

I made this tread for everyone that wants to rant the way i am and maybe even add some solutions, not to reply to posts with hostility or to start confrontations period!!!

Just using the US as an example there are over 380 million people in the US and 170 million voted one party and 180 voted another party (numbers not exact), now out of both parties there are radicals on both sides then there is overlapping agreement on parties policies, lets call them moderates;) and someone like me would vote for a party that has more in line policies even know i may not agree with all of them. I hope that makes sense...And Canada is pretty much the same except a smaller scale of population.....

Just an observation.....

When someone posts here and it is not to anyone directly, and then a reply comes back with all kinds of guilt, i guess the truth really does sometimes hurt..

But when a reply post is ignored?? Maybe they should take the hint and move on to another subject, that of course if they chose to do so. Being a free Country of sorts....

I myself learned a lot posting here, and thinking back to the beginning maybe it was a good idea maybe it wasn't, but i can tell you not seeing anyone's faces, it makes it a bit harder who you think is interested in friendship and who is really just here to instigate and cause confrontation, just by the words they put on a page...

I know that you can have 10 people in a room and 6 think one way and 4 think another, but there is overlapping agreements. Now face to face you can really see how people feel by many expressions, body movement etc... And i know when everyone leaves that room, agreeing or disagreeing, those same 10 people can still do that again with many more subjects to discuss...

Here that can only work if the other side does understand everyone has different views and is willing to understand that, and i can really speak the truth personally and say yes it can work, and it has, because politics or any subject most of the time there is no right or wrong, just opinions or views on how they see things, or better yet how they want to see things??..

That question said, say after golfing with multiple groups or having people over for dinner or a cigar and a glass of some sort of alcohol, or other ways on this site, and last family, discussions will be made and agreements and disagreements will be the outcome. And then the cycle goes on again, and some new people may get invited or involved, and some may choose not to, again there's choice....But knowing everyone will not always agree, even looking at someone else's point of view, really you have to ask yourself??

How much does it really change your life??

So being ignorant and trying to lie or instigate, or start a confrontation, or put other people against others, or try to use someones faith or there religious beliefs what does it really gain you?? I know in person zilch!!, so maybe taking the hint here it may not work ;)

I'll give you another asinine example. Harris County Judge and mayor wanted to mandate masks. Governor Hotwheels said "I pass a directive that you cannot mandate masks in Texas." Corona numbers increase steadily. Mayor and Judge pass law that fines businesses $1,000 per customer or employee that they let into their shops/offices without masks (because apparently it is okay for private businesses to mandate mask use but not for the government). Governor finally finds a way to save face and says "that was my intent all along, took you long enough. Why can't you read my mind, lol?" Many weeks and lives lost...

Quickly i went to emerge because i was in a ton of pain, so the emerge ordered a ultra sound and gave me 20 percs and sent me home!!!, i was still in a ton of pain so i went to see my Urologists and he knew i was having the same issue as before , my ureter is very narrow so i can't pass stones, they get stuck and block the kidney functions...
So he gave me more percs and set up an appointment for a CT scan. A day or 2 i got the confirmation and it was going to be 6 or 8 months as an outpatient!!!!!, i don't remember exactly how long Idol but it was crazy and for sure this problem was not going to go away without surgery!!!
So i call the Urologists back and blasted him (He is a friend so not how you would think blasted) on how fucking long it was going to take!!!

Anyways he was on call at the hospital that weekend we spoke, so he told me to go back into emerge and demand a CT scan for the problem, now once you have a evasive test it automatically triggers any specialists and bypasses the emerge doctors;)..
I got the CT scan within a few hours and once my Urioligists saw it i was admitted for surgery!!!, now i did wait in emerge for like 28 hours til they had a fucking bed!!!, but i never left the hospital til i was pain free of some sorts, meaning you know how they have to remove the stone i assume :yikes:..

So when you say that athletes get preferential treatment here?? Well my sons friend father is the Doctor for the Raptors, and he is connected to a hospital in Toronto, and it was an emergency right??

And to let you know the same with day surgeries that are booked, they will be bumped if they are not considered emerge, for other patients that do have....

Now when i was being wheeled into surgery, just to let you know there is at least 20 surgery rooms at York Central (Now called Mackenzi Health), and only 2 were available because there is only enough nurses to staff!!!, With paid insurance in the US in private hospitals, that doesn't happen buddy, there is tons of emerge nurses on call waiting !!!

Do you understand that, Paid insurance vs Socialized Health care system is less waiting times for everything!!!!! Some people always want to take things too far. Do I agree with what they are doing? No but they aren't erasing history, they are simply trying to have a few schools renamed so as not to glorify certain historical figures.
Personally where I think the problem lies is that a group of people think they know best for everyone and therefore every else should bow to their particular wishes.

With O'Keefe it's a lot clearer as Project Veritas is/was largely funded by the Koch brothers to get dirt on certain people ie the libs. It's also known that "He has selectively edited videos to misrepresent the context of the conversations and the subjects' responses, creating the false impression that people said or did things they did not". Hardly veritas. I would label him a bad guy who occasionally, almost inadvertently does some good.

Again i would think history teaches us there was good and bad, and if it is a good history teacher they would teach both sides, or hopefully kids learning today want to know both sides and not just trust what a teacher interpretation is....

And really who is giving the mass media coverage to this small group and not giving the other side?? You know who that is buddy, i don't have to keep repeating that;)
