He doesn't cry all that much Allen; as soon as I go in, he stops. It's just the way it is at this age. He's scared when he wakes up and I'm not there, and he's worried that I won't come back when I leave. He just needs to learn that I always come back.
As for the crying and whinging around me; the poor wee soul is teething and has an ear infection. You'd cry for less.
Read the article though, and it does sound very interesting. It's basically just a variation on the distraction technique.
