I had it last time, morning (read: all day) sickness got so bad that I couldn't hold anything down.

I'm ok-ish. I still get nauseous, but I'm able to keep stuff down now. It's just quite hard coping with it mentally, it just seems absolutely relentless.

In true NHS spirit, they never bothered to check the baby as I 'have a scan anyway in 2 weeks time'.

Although in most cases, severe morning sickness like this relates to healthier, heavier babies. (as was the case with Ben lol )

taking melatonin is for deeper sleep, not for the high.

its a bit like a depressant but with no drowsy hangover.

stopped taking 5htp, was told it hasn't been proven as safe as melatonin tablets.

melatonin is good for the immune system also.

and a mix of day/night shift work gives me jet lag alot, so its just easier to take a tablet that adjusts the sleep cycle when you can't sleep well from having tea/coffee all day or night.

The fucking lard-gobbling, gravity-defying, whale/elephant hybrid wouldn't even answer her door. She opened her bedroom window and spat a stream of shite in a downwards direction. The missus lost it and called her things worser than I've just typed.

Just a few times, Allen. They were variations of so called 'herbal ecstasy'.

The buzz was decent for about 20 minutes then I got bored. I can tell you that it was absolutely fuck all like Ecstasy.

It was more like an Amyl Nitrate buzz only it went on for a couple of hours. My mate said they fucked him up for a week afterwards. He was getting cramps in his hands afterwards and attributed them to those pills.

I'm sceptical about the whole legal high phenomenon. Surely, not enough blind testing has gone on before they were mass-distributed and I get the feeling that they're even more dangerous than established illegal chemicals.

Not advocating illegal chemicals. But better the devil you know, like.

The 12 year old will eat them (within reason) if I stare at him hard. But the furthest he'll go voluntarily is Heinz beans. He's not a great lover of them, but he doesn't need much prompting.

Bah, I am in such a foul mood.

I have been feeling sick more or less constantly for nearly a month.
I can't sleep properly because I keep needing to pee.
My sense of smell is ridiculously sharp, so smells either make me sick or give me a headache.
I can't drink tap water because my taste buds have gone all superhero on me and I can taste the chemicals in it (mainly chlorine, it's fucking disgusting).
If I eat anything heavier than toast I will feel even more sick.
I can't keep down fruit.
My gums are bleeding, probably because I'm about to get scurvy due to the above
I have an ear infection, which means I currently can barely hear anything with my left ear and it's really quite sore.
I constantly feel tired.
I have hairy eyebrows because I can't make it to the waxer and I'm really crap at plucking them myself.

Yahoo knows the answer.

Apparently the hair cycle on your head is 2-6 years whereas the hair cycle on the rest of your body is only a few months. This means that your body hair keeps shedding whereas your head hair doesn't.

FWIW, I get mild ear infections from time to time and I use a heating pad turned on low with a towel between my ear and the pad (some of the pads can get kinda hot, so be careful) and just rest for 30 or so minutes. I do this throughout the day, maybe 3 or 4 times (if possible). Has worked for me many times.

I've just checked Lamsey's facebook page. It seems he has done something about it, because he no longer has a monobrow. :o

That's old news, tbh.

Some had found some clip he made about his appartment at uni on youtube or something (I think he has his own channel) a while back, it might have been JP. And that plucked unibrow stuck out like a sore thumb :(

Yahoo knows the answer.

Apparently the hair cycle on your head is 2-6 years whereas the hair cycle on the rest of your body is only a few months. This means that your body hair keeps shedding whereas your head hair doesn't.

I think it grows a lot longer if you shave it off a bunch of times, or something.

:D

Haven't you heard about our health care system in the US?

Actually, it's just a simple solution to what is usually a simple problem.

Antibiotics can (and often do) cause upset stomach. I don't imagine Skweeky needs any more of that.

He may've shaved the middle, but those eyebrows are still a fucking wonder to behold

Dewds.

I'm unprofessional and impolite, and I write angry emails.

Our project leader just called to inform me. Her womanly intuition told her.

Awesome innit.

She called again. We're buddies now.

After I called my workmates to brag and everything.

Balls.

Totally.

How are you liking the new stargate, btw?

Still early doors but it has potential and I think it will be good. I suspect the stories and characters are going to be a bit more complex. It has a darker and deeper feel to it.

That's about my opinion as well.

It's more serious, in a good way.

The pilot was excellent. I didn't quite like the next episode as much, but it wasn't bad.

Anyone watching Flash Forward?

Apart from me, like. Well not now, obviously.

Seen it. Like I told chalice the other day, I like the novel better. A 21 year flash forward is cooler, for one thing.

He has high hopes for it, though. I think the whole 'terrorist plot' thing is fuckballs.

Since we're talkin TV-shows and all: Defying Gravity is cool.

...Gotta go halp my sister with the network settings for a vm she's trying to set up through virtual box, berb.

It's not that I have high hopes for it, it's more of a filler for me until Lost comes back. It has been heralded as the 'new Lost', what with it having an ensemble cast and many of the same actors. From what I've seen though, they're being too ambitious and are snatching key techniques from Lost which smacks of desperation somewhat.

I agree that a 21 year flash-forward would've been cooler, but I reckon the scope would've been too massive to hold the attention of the average ABC watching mongoloid.

I'll keep watching, like, but I'm disappointed already. It's cool to see Brandon Braga's name on the writing credits and the guy wot wrote the book will be scripting a few of the upcoming episodes too, I'm informed.

Haven't read any of them, Skweeks but they seem interesting enough.

Covering a span of sixty years, the graphic novel Logicomix was inspired by the epic story of the quest for the Foundations of Mathematics. This was a heroic intellectual adventure most of whose protagonists paid the price of knowledge with extreme personal suffering and even insanity. The book tells its tale in an engaging way, at the same time complex and accessible. It grounds the philosophical struggles on the undercurrent of personal emotional turmoil, as well as the momentous historical events and ideological battles which gave rise to them.
The role of narrator is given to the most eloquent and spirited of the story’s protagonists, the great logician, philosopher and pacifist Bertrand Russell. It is through his eyes that the plights of such great thinkers as Frege, Hilbert, Poincaré, Wittgenstein and Gödel come to life, and through his own passionate involvement in the quest that the various narrative strands come together.

Had a quick looksee on some of the comic sites but it seems nobody has scanned it yet.
