What The Flac – New DDL Forum For FLAC Lossless Music Downloads

FlacShare is currently down and now there is a void in the DDL space for a new specialized FLAC music forum. What The Flac (WTF :p ) is here to fill the gap. It’s a brand new Direct Download Link (DDL) forum which focuses mainly on lossless music encoded using the FLAC codec – you can find and download discographies, full albums, official soundtrack (OST) and more here. Started by an encoder of HD-UNiT3D forum, WTF aims to become a well known destination on the internet for lossless music downloads. The site is currently open for registration and is accepting new members – however, doors won’t remain open for long since they are planning to go invite only at the start of next month.

Liberty Media, the company involved in achieving the largest headline settlement against a BitTorrent user last month, has widened its net to include cyberlocker-based infringement. The movie studio has now filed suit against file-hosting site Hotfile and 1000 of its users. PayPal is also named in the suit alongside calls for it to freeze Hotfile’s account. The court is asked to seize Hotfile’s domain name.

France was among the first countries to implement drastic anti-file-sharing measures and take pride in the tireless (but so far inefficient) hunt for online pirates.
The anti-file-sharing legislation didn’t make Nicholas Sarkozy too popular among French internet users but the president doesn’t seem to care, on the contrary, he promises to nail 10,000 illegal file sharers per day under the controversial “Hadopi” law.

Guess who is mad as hell and isn't going to take it anymore? The RapidShare file service says it has had it up to its storage capacity with the treatment it's getting from Capitol Hill here in the United States, and has hired a lobbyist to tell Congress what's what.
The firm will help RapidShare "counter negative attacks on the company from US copyright interests," according to the registration form that it has filed with the Clerk of the House of Representatives. The Swiss outfit's move comes following a big content backed Congressional caucus calling out RapidShare and five other companies as the world's worst websites.
