It's five days of developer love in sunny San Francisco, and this year it starts on June 6th. As ever, Moscone West will be hosting Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference, and this year we'll be seeing "the future of iOS and Mac OS" along with "more than 100 technical sessions presented by Apple engineers." Last time Steve Jobs unveiled the iPhone 4 to a very willing world at large. Could its successor make an appearance this year? We'll be there live to tell you if and when it happens.

Barely has the Nintendo 3DS been out in Europe and North America and already owners of the new handheld are complaining that the device is plagued by a serious error in the form of the so-called Black Screen of Death.

It seems Sony's been quite actively leaking more or less secret info lately since, beside the rumored MacBook Air rival we've talked about earlier, the Japanese company is allegedly also working on a new netbook running Google's Chrome OS.

An unnamed AMD representative reportedly said that Intel's new Thunderbolt tech will become another proprietary standard that may not be widely adopted. The obvious reason is the current overall lack of devices that can take advantage of the extreme throughput.
But AMD also doubts that its rival's new tech will bring any tangible improvements to the industry, as it does not "substantially" outperform current generation I/O technologies and can even offer lower bandwidth in some cases.

Hacker George Hotz, also known as GeoHot, is known for helping crack the iPhone and for releasing the PlayStation 3 root key and custom firmware. Understandably, he is fed up with both Apple's and Sony's stances on jailbreaking (Apple wants to make jailbreaking illegal while Sony is suing GeoHot). According to his website though, he likes Microsoft's approach on homebrew and wants to try Windows Phone 7:

Not often do IT companies offer promotions on their products, but it seems Advanced Micro Devices figured it was time for a nice little, or in this case not so little, program involving its high-end CPUs and graphics cards.

As consumers know, AMD saw quite some success with its Radeon HD 5000 series of video cards in 2009 and last year.

Sony has had their hands full responding to the recent Playstation 3 hacks. Most recently they've been dealing with the early leak of Killzone 3, one of their flagship franchises. This leak has Sony troubled by the "thought of their console becoming a mainstream threat to piracy." In response, Sony has already been hard at work designing a brand new hack proof Slim model PS3.
